Terms of use
Plain terms for a site that publishes repair methods and product opinions.
Who these are with
savemyleather, 2020 Mannheim Rd #2707, Des Plaines, IL 60018, USA. By using savemyleather.com you accept these terms.
The advice here comes with no guarantee
This site contains general care guidance, product references and supplied repair photographs. Leather varies enormously — by tannage, by finish, by age, by what has already been put on it. A method that restored one sofa can stain another.
- Test every product on a hidden area first. We say this on the pages themselves for a reason.
- Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the product, not our summary of them, and heed their warnings about ventilation and skin contact.
- If the item is valuable, antique or sentimental, use a professional. We will say so on the page when we think that is the right call.
You carry out any repair at your own risk. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for damage to your property arising from following anything published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Your submissions
If you send us photographs, you confirm they are yours to send. We will not publish them unless you have told us we may, and we ask again in writing before anything goes up — you choose the credit. You keep ownership of your photographs; you give us permission to publish the ones you approve, on this site, with the credit you chose. Ask us to take them down and we will.
Our content
Original writing belongs to Save My Leather; credited images belong to their respective owners. Quote us with a link; don't republish pages wholesale. Product names and logos belong to their owners.
Affiliate links and advertising
This site may earn affiliate commission as described on the affiliate disclosure page. Buying through a link never costs you more.
Links out
We link to retailers and manufacturers. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for them.
Availability
The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be reachable or error-free, and we may change or remove content — including correcting something we got wrong.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, and the courts there have jurisdiction, without affecting consumer rights you have where you live.
