Reading the site
You do not need an account. The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes technical information such as IP addresses, request times and browser information to serve and protect the website. This version does not load advertising or audience analytics scripts.
Messages and photographs
If you use a form or email us, we receive your name, email address, message and any photos you provide so we can respond. Optional information may include an item's age and treatments already tried. Messages submitted through the website are delivered to our professional inbox through Hostinger.
Photos uploaded through the website are resized and re-encoded, removing embedded location metadata before delivery. Photos sent directly by email may retain the metadata from your device. Please avoid including people, addresses or other personal information in the image itself.
The application processes uploads for delivery and does not maintain a separate public photo library. The resulting email and attachments remain in our mailbox. We do not publish a submission without confirming your permission.
Email updates
A request for updates reaches the editorial inbox. We confirm requests before adding addresses to email updates. Repair and contact messages do not subscribe you. You can ask to stop updates by replying to an email or contacting us directly.
Abuse prevention
The form uses validation, a spam-detection field and temporary request limits. The application temporarily counts requests against a hashed network address; it does not use those counts to create a reader profile. Hosting security logs are handled separately by Vercel.
Service providers and external links
Vercel hosts the website and Hostinger provides email. These services may process information in countries other than your own. When you follow a manufacturer or retailer link, that site's privacy and cookie policies apply. We do not sell or rent your information.
Retention and requests
We keep messages while handling your enquiry and any continuing correspondence. Approved material supporting a published repair may be retained while that record remains online. You can request access, correction or deletion by emailing support@savemyleather.com; information may need to be retained where legally required.
Your choices
- Use direct email instead of a web form.
- Keep photographs limited to the item and its damage.
- Decline permission to discuss publication.
- Request removal from email updates at any time.
Children and changes
The site is not directed at children under 13. Contact us if a child has submitted personal information. We update the date above when this policy changes materially.
