What this adhesive is for
GEAR AID sells Aquaseal SR as a clear, flexible footwear adhesive, including for reattaching loose soles. The maker lists leather, suede, rubber, neoprene, canvas and nylon among compatible materials. That list does not establish compatibility with every coating or every part of a mixed-material boot.
Decide whether the boot is repairable
A gap at the sole can hide deteriorating material. Do not assume glue is the answer when the sole crumbles, cracks extensively or feels sticky. A cobbler can distinguish a loose bond from a sole that needs replacement. Our boot sole repair guide covers those decisions before product selection.
Read the safety information
The manufacturer's page carries a toluene exposure warning. Read the current label and safety directions before opening the tube, including ventilation and protective equipment requirements. Follow the specified preparation and full curing instructions; an edge that looks closed is not proof that a repair is ready to wear.
Before buying
This is a related product option, not the verified adhesive from our boot photographs. We have not published a durability test for it. The buy button opens GEAR AID's store for current price, availability and shipping details, without an affiliate commission.
